Can Excessive Drinking Cause White Coloured Bowel Movements?
Hi, my husband recently left me - so I began smoking ad drinking a lot. I stopped drinking a few days ago and began taking Chatix (an old bottle I had) for the last 2 days. This morning I noticed I had white poop. How concerned should I be. If I stop the Chantix and don't have any more white stools, you think it's ok?
Very concerned. THe liver as it handles normal recycling of blood puts old blood breakdown products (which are brown) in stool. If liver is really badly injured, it doesn't get out. You turn green/brown, stool is tan/white. Bad. If your eye whites are yellow then this is a strong indication of liver disease. And they would be very very noticeable. If they are not, then drinking and smoking are not bad but sometimes stool can be white due to eating a lot of white things (not as common as liver problems).
