Can Ear Irrigation Lead To High Frequency Hearing Loss If Proceeded With Force? Is It Likely To Remain Permanent?

I got my both ears irragated for the first in 50 years a week ago . My right ear was alot of soft wax and came out very easy. The left ear was dry and hard, but the ENT doctor proceded any way with out drops to soften the wax. He proceded with alot of force to the point that it felt very uncomfortable and i felt a few drops in the back of my throat through my ear. Since then i have some high frequency hearing loss. Is this permanent?

Hi,
Thank you for your query.
The syringing usually doesn't lead to permanent hearing loss unless it damages yhe tympanic membrane.
I suggest you to consult thd ENT specialist for thd direct examination of the ear and to evaluate for the causes of hearing impairment.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
