Can Colostomy Cause Bad Breath?

i am 23 yrs old and i had anal cancer i have had a colostomy bag for the past 7 to 8 months i went through kmeo and radiation and im also hiv positive on retrovirals they plan to reverse the colostomy this month of december,my question really is my boyfriend tells me i have a metal like mercury smelly breath can having a ostomy impact my breath if the food isnt digesting properly

I really appreciate your concern looking to the given history first of all sorry for this now as long as the query of your bad breath is concern this may not be due to the disease you have or the procedure that is being done for the disease but this could be due to the gastritis or due to the dental condition in my opinion you need to consult the physician for this, take care and have a nice day.
