my brother had a accident on 20/3 with head injury the CT Scan report read as resoving contusion with small hemorrhagc coponen at left parieto-occipal region. SUBARACHNOID BLEED S NOW TOTALY RESOVED, Kindly tell me in simple language what is the meaning of it.

contusion in simple words is a bruise in which blood vessels are damaged and they ooze blood.....this blood clot is haematoma....and the process is called as haemorhage.......minor haemorhages resolve on their own;as in your case.....so evrythng is fyn now......in cases where it does nt resolves on its own or ther s a big clot.....the cranial bone has to b drilled and clot has to b suckd out;which is puting presure over the brain...

Contusion mean in simple language wound , because the brain had an injury there is a wound in the brain , which technically is called contusion.
Small Heamorrhagis component meand - because of wound there is small bleed , that heamorrhage.
Eg when we fall down on our knees , we have a wound - red , painful area (similarly ccontusion) , some time if the injury is great then it may bleed from the wound (similarly small heamorrhages)
left parieto occipital area - is area of brain , i.e on the side and back on left side.
Subarachnoid Bleed - Subarachnoid is a space in between the brain and the layers covering brain. Brain is covered by 3 layers , one such layer is called arachnoid layer , so space below arachnoid layer is called sub(below) arachnoid space, where there is some bleed.
