Can Any Online Doctor Help Me Read This Lab Report?

Hi, I am 63. Have Total Cholesterol 239.2, S.Triglycerides 193.8, HDL 51.3, LDL 149.14 and VLDL 38.76. Should I take medication for lowering triclycerides, LDL and VLDL. Are there any medicine to lower these elements without having the medicine to be taken life-long? Thanks. Please reply me to YYYY@YYYY . Thanks again.

Hello,
Your total cholesterol, serum triglycerides and LDL are high and these should be treated by anti cholesterol medicines if you are having additional risk factors like hypertension and diabetes.
Your HDL is good and protects you from bad effects of high LDL.
You may try non medical methods for reducing your lipid levels like...
Regular aerobic exercises for 45 minutes a day.
Avoiding junk foods, colas, sweets and deep fried foods.
Avoid saturated fats like butter, ghee etc.
Take more of unsaturated fats like olive oil or almond oil.
Get your lipid profile repeated after 3 months.
If it is still high, then you may start taking STATINS under the advise of your doctor.
Thanks
