Can Allergies Result In Clogged Ears And Pulsating Sensation? Why Do I Have Ear Scabs?
My ear has been clogged for over a month now and at times I feel like I can hear a heart beat in my hear...i have bad allergies and I tend to rub my ear while clearing my throat and now I have ear scabs that terrifies me. They just appeared. I don't pick them because they hurt
You seem to have an infection of the external ear which in all probability would have been due to your habit of rubbing your ears. You need to do these immediately:
-avoid using ear buds, our ears have an excellent mechanism of self cleansing when we speak or chew and you do not have to use ear buds at all.
-get an ENT to look into the ears and prescribe local and oral medications to clean or treat the scabs which are actually causing the block
- avoid head bath for a couple of days
-if even after cleaning by an ENT your ears still feel blocked then you must get an audiometric assessment and get back to me with the report
hope this helps
