Can A Pain Management Doctor Perform Surgery On The Spine?
Can a pain management Doctor perform surgery on the spine? The following procedure specifically? Posterior spinal fixation and posterior lateral decortication and fusion at the L4-5 and S-1 with a structural allograft placement. This surgery was done for Lumbar spondylosis with lumbar facet arthropathy pain and pain has substantially increased not decreased. The last S-1 joint on the right side had a anomaly where the last facet joint went from my spine to my right hip joint and he performed surgery on this anomaly anyway? I am at a loss as to what to do about this or DEALING WITH THE PAIN. Surgery was performed 1/10/14. Thank you for any help or assistance because I do not know what to do???? Marianne Martinez 46 yrs old....
