Can Tylenol Be Taken With Tranex Acid?

Can I take extra strength Tylenol with tranex acid 650 mg? I am feeling terrible pressure in my uterus. I have fibroids and my doctor is scheduling a hydterectomy. The blood loss during my periods is so severe that my hemoglobin has dropped to 5.9. I have needed 2 bags of blood this month.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query with us,

There is no proven drug interactions with tylenol and tranexamic acid. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is taken for pain relief and tranexamic acid is taken for any bleeding disorders.
You are required to continue on tranexamic acid as per your doctors orders inorder to reduce the amount of bleeding you are experiencing.

Since you are experiencing profuse bleeding, the right plan of management would be to go for a hysterectomy.

Hope I have answered to your query.
If you have any further queries, kindly revert back

Thanks and regards
