Can Metoprolol And Lisinopril Be Taken Together?

I have mild heart blockages & have recently been given metoprolol. For blood pressure (a year ago), lisinopril (which I really didn t take). I am facing a test, & need to know my blood pressure is okay. Can I take them together? Do I need to? Please advise. Thank you.

Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Both lisinopril and metoprolol are used for decreasing blood pressure in their own mechanism of actions.
In some patients who really need it are sometime prescribed these medications but if you are not prescribed these meds to be tsken together then kindly do not take them at once.
Your BP should be measured as it is when you are on your regular med course. Do not take more meds so as it will read less as it will give wrong reading to doctor and ultimately it will be harmful for you only if you are given less or more of these meds.
So i would like to tellyou kindly do not experiment with these meds as these cause decrease in your BP and should not be consumed irresponsibly.
I hope i have answered your query well.
Thank you
