Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi...R-Cinex is an anti tuberculosis medicine. If I were your pediatrician I wouldn't give it or prescribe it without proper indication and thorough investigation. The indications being -
1. Contact with a TB case.
2. Mantoux test being positive when performed with 2TU.
3. Chronic fever and severe weight loss.

If above are not there I would suggest achieving a bacteriological diagnosis by doing a gastric juice for AFB and Xpert MTB.

This medicine cannot be used for cough and cold.

Regards- Dr. Sumanth
