Can HSV 1 Be Misdiagnosed As HSV 2?
is it possible to be diagnosed with HSV 2 when it is actually HSV 1, this was ten years ago, and not a blood test just visual examination and i think they quickly looked under a mircoscope. Never had any recurring problems, but at the time i also had BV and Ecoli and they did not pick this up many thanks

HSV1 usually causes infection in upper half of body usually oral lesions whereas HSV 2 causes genital infections.
