General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your test results, you had herpesvirus 1 infection. But IgM is negative. So presently there is no active infection in body. But chances of developing infection with partner is obvious.

So better to use condoms for prevention of infection among partner. and also have a laboratory check-up for your partner. if it's positive then directly go for treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nirav Nimavat, General & Family Physician
