Hello,

Levonorgestrel we used in emergency contraception or long term contraception.

But in heavy bleeding, you have to check dysfunctional uterus or polyps or fibroids or infection etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. You may take tablet Tranexamic acid twice a day for five days.

If symptoms not improved please consult your gynecologist she will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
