Can Cefdinir Be Taken Post Recovery From Gastritis?

I was prescribed cefdinir for a sinus infection, but I am just getting over gastritis. Is this a problem? I read that I am supposed to tell the doctor if I have any stomach or bowel inflammation. I did put that on my medical history, but I'm worried the doctor did not notice.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain Cefdinir is an antibiotic and at times antibiotic intake can lead to hyperacidity and can exaggerate symptoms of Gastritis..
So in case if you are recovering from gastritis the intake of antibiotics can worsen the symptoms..

But as for Sinusitis the intake of antibiotics is also a mandatory treatment you can continue taking the same but along with it you should take proton pump inhibitors like Omeprazole once in the morning empty stomach and once in the evening..
Add more of probiotics like Yoghurt in diet..
Probiotic capsules conatining Lactobacillus Acidophillus can also be taken orally..
Drink plenty of water..
In case if you still find any discomfort you can stop the intake of antibiotic and consult your treating physician..
