Hello,

Amikacin has shown to be very teratogenic and can result in serious consequences for the fetus. Did the prescribing doctor not know of her pregnancy status? The only thing you can do now is to make sure complete monitoring of her pregnancy done, and also go about the triple marker test to make sure we rule out a few other abnormalities. During ultrasound investigations, make sure a close watch kept on growth and developmental abnormalities.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shoaib Khan
