Burnt Skin With Brown Marks Due To Using Garlic For Removal Of Moles. Suggest Remedy

hey! i used garlic to remove a few moles on my face. the moles are gone but the garlic burnt my skin. it's been almost 10 days, the pink skin is now gone, the skin is healing but very slowly and the marks have turned from pink to brown. what should i do? are they going to be there permanently?

Hi. Thanks for posting at HCM

You have developed what is called Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation.

Removal of moles is not recommended the way you did. It could lead permanent marks.

Anyways, I would advice that you use broad spectrum sunscreen regularly throughout the day.

At night you can use a demelanising cream containing either kojic acid OR hydrquinone OR Glycolic acid. You should get a prescription for this from a dermatologist
