Bruise On Back Of Thigh, Purple In Color. What Could Be This?
Yesterday when i was in the shower i noticed a very large bruise on the back of my thigh about one inch down from the bend in my knee. Today it has turned a darker purple in color some spots deeper in color. I measured it and it is 4 inches long and 2 inches wide at the widest part. I am only 31 years old married and have four young daughters. I am terrified something horrible is wrong. Because of where this bruise is and the size of it im pretty sure i would have realized if i did something to cause this massive bruise. Any ideas to what it could be?

it can be traumatic as the trauma may be blunt not noticed and the blood collects under skin causung colour and color cahnges when it dissolves taqke 2-3 wk
take antibiotic to prevent infection
apply antibiotic and anti allergic tab
