Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
last night after sex, my husband actually couldnt breathe and lost his breath. He basically threw me off him....we have been married over 25 yrs so I know this isnt normal and it was after orgasm , however, this has never ever happened before. I have heard of men having heart attacks after or during sex, is this normal??
Hi
This is avery good observation and should not be treated just as an orgasm . In cases with angina or coronary artery disease , restlessness , uneasyness , heavynes in chest may follow after or during sexual activity .
Get him screened for heart disease - blood , ECG and stress test at earliest .
Thx

General & Family Physician, Dr. Shanthi E's Response
Hi,
If this is a onetime episode then you should not worry. It may be safely regarded as normal.
If it happens over and over again, it needs clinical evaluation by a general physician.
There is no need to panic as of now, please watch for such episodes in the future and take relevant actions.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
