Break Out On Face, Eyes, Arms Due To Poison Sumac. Had Injection Depo Medrol, On Steroids. Anything Else To Be Done?
My son has been having poison sumac and has had injection depo Medrol twice and 10 days worth of steroids 10mg 3xday x5 days then twice daily x3 days, once daily x2 days, he was told they cannot give him anything else if he breaks out again, he has been avoiding thing we think may trigger and is breaking out again, on his face, eyes and arms. Is there really not anything else we can do?

Hello,
I went through your son's problem and treatment taken. You have given steroids in optimum doses. Along with steroids anti histamine can also be given.
If allergic reactions recur no harm in starting steroids by needle then by a tab in the tapering dose form. I think no specific anti dose is available.
