Boil Like Bump On Back With Red Head. What Is It ?

Hello doc I have a boil like bump on my back about the size of a quarter, its head is red, and I recently had a nurse practitioner cut a fatty cell cluster in my back that was not cancerous I have seen spiders such as one similiar to the brown recluse but has two stripes on its back is this a spider bite or merca? or what is it

Hi, thanks for posting your query to us.

As per your description you seem to have developed a boil or furuncle on your back. It may be due to infection over the recent surgery site or due to any other cause for which examination may be required.

There may be collection of pus inside which might have to be expressed.
You need to take a short course of oral antibiotics. You may contact a dermatologist for the same.

Till then you may start using a local antibiotic cream and take oral analgesics for redness and pain.
