Blue Vein That Popped Up On Both Palms Of Hands, Swollen Hands. Still Painful. Anything To Do ?

I have a blue vein that popped up on both palms of my hands located above the wrist on the palm (under the thumb area) going half-way up to the bottom of the thumb. this happened 4 months ago. I had been doing pushups on the wall. The veins are painful and there is swelling in that portion of the palm. 2 months ago a vein specialist (he does legs and knows nothing of hands) performed sclerotherapy on the veins. A bad idea - my hands really swelled up then. 2 weeks ago he looked at it again - the veins had not closed. It is still painful, and I am unable to put much pressure on the hands. I am a female. I can't find another vein specialist who will handle this and a hand orthopedic surgeon also would not. Is there anything I can do for this?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi,

Before playing sports, include a warm-up routine where you focus on stretching and improving your flexibility.

The treatment initially involves a conservative approach. This includes resting the rest for at least 2 to 3 weeks (which means no activities involving the use of wrist). It is highly preferable to use wrist brace.

Besides the wrist brace cool pack application would also help minimize the inflammation and hence the pain. The inflammation can also be minimized by taking anti inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen.
