Blood Test Shows Abnormal Thyroid Peroxidase C3 And C4 Level. Tiredness, Weight Loss, Thigh Pain. Concerned
My doctor ordered blood tesr one of which was a thyroid peroxidase C3 and C4.
C3 came back just slightly low @ 89. Normal range is between 90-180 mg/dl.
C4 came back very low @ -3. Normal range is between 16-47 mg/dl.
Should I be concerned and what does this mean?
I've been very tired and unable to loose weight, also my thighs ache.
Thank you for your professional opinion.

Hi, it appears that you have hypothyroidism, it needs to be confirmed by having the test of T.S.H. which tend to increase. The treatment is not a cumbursome just a pill a day, with very good result, and every year it is to be tested for t4, to judge the dose, and alter if necesory. Thank you.
