If my blood glucose does not spike and sits around 8.oo, is it really necessary to be put on insulin? My own doctor says Yes , whereas another doctor has said she would just keep me on the Glucophage tablets and that insulin injection would not be necessary. Additionally, the Glucophage medication was nt agreeing with my tummy, and of the 4 tablets a day I was prescribed, 2 of them were being dispelled within just a few hours-when I put it to my doctor that I was nt getting the benefit of the 4 tablets, since 2 were being seen (in their whole form) in faeces, that surely must have meant that I was only on a 50% dose. He disagreed and said it did nt matter-yet other doctors have agreed that I was only getting the benefit of half the dose prescribed. Advice please. Thanks!
