Suggest Alternative Medication For Ciplatrim

I have been taking Ciplatrim and Glucophage for the past 6 months and I have lost 14kg. I was diagnosed as being insulin resistant and advised to lose the weight. I have recently moved to Kenya and Ciplatrim is not available here. Is there an alternative drug I can use as I still have 20 kg more to lose and I am really struggling now. Or can I order it from a safe website? I don t want to buy medication online.

Hi,

Ciplatrim has been banned in many countries including Kenya. Phenamine (Adipex-P or Duromine) may be an alternative drug for you. It should be available on prescription.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
