Blister In Upper Lip, Swollen, Increasing In Size, Looks Like Pimple With No Head. Treatment?

On my upper lip I had what almost seemed like a blister form 2 days ago, being just a small bump I didn't pay much attention. Now today it has swollen to a very large size, it is not overly sore but it is getting quite large. its almost like a pimple but with no visible head to it. I am not sure what course of action to take regarding this.

Hi,

Welcome and thanks for posting your query to Healthcare Magic.

As per your query you have a bump on upper lip, looks like pimple with no head which is swollen and is increasing in size.

After reading your query I can make out that you have simple folliculitic lesion which became larger in size in two days. This means the hair root or the oil gland may got infected and that resulted in the bump.
the most important thing you should do is to not touch, pinch ,pop or squeeze the area by any means.
-You can do cold compression over the area.
-Take round the clock pain killers to avoid swelling.
-Oral antibiotics would be required under medial guidance in your case if the bump is increasing in size.
Hope these informations will help.
