Bilateral Hip Pain While Walking, Weakness, Strong Pulse In Both Legs. Cure For Pain?

For the last month I have been experiencing bilateral hip pain while walking for 4-5 minutes. The aching becomes so bad that I cannot walk any longer, and must rest. After 5-10 minutes of rest I can resume waking for another 5 minutes. My pulse in both legs is strong. I have experienced weakness during the past month. I am a 69 year old male in otherwise good physical condition. Can you help?

Hi,

Thank you for posting your question here, I will try to answer it to the best of my abilities.

Seems like you're suffering from intermittant claudication as a result of a blockage in your arteries so that you're legs arent getting enough oxygen. I recommend you see a doctor and ask him to run a doppler ultrasound on your legs to find the blockage, if it is indeed there.
My diagnosis may be wrong, but I like to start by ticking off the obvious possibilities first.

I hope my advice helps you.

Hi,
It seems that you might be having some degenerating changes in your hip joints causing this type of pain.
Go for x-ray hip joints.
There is possibility of having osteoporosis or osteomalcia.
Consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined.
Take High dose of calcium, Vitamin A and D.
Ok and take care.
