Bad Cough, Fever, Chills And Wheezing. X-rays Taken. Given Antibiotics With Prednisone. What Does Foggy Spit Mean?

I went to the Dr yesterday for a bad cough, fever, chills with hot flashes & wheezing that I'd had for about 5 days. They took 2 chest X-rays gave me some antibiotics along with albuterol, prednisone & some cough medicine so I could get some rest at night time. Was told to go back in 2 days for a recheck. Well they called me this afternoon & said my X-rays showed a foggy spot and they wanted to take a couple more views tomorrow. What could the term foggy spot mean?

Hello.By the symptoms that you have and the prescribed treatment the foggy spot is possibly an image of pneumonia.Sometimes if the image is in doubt or if the patient is a smoker for many years, the doctor may request a CT-Scan
to see better the image.I wish you good health.
