Back Pain, Diabetes, On Oral Medicine, Aceforce-mr. Suggestion?

I am 70 Years of age. I am a diabetic person and is continuing on oral medicines. I am going for morning walk for 5.75 Kms. I have back pain on regular basis. I have taken Aceforce-mr - 1 tab. when the back pain becomes unbearable. Do you prescribe me to take it regularly - may be 1 tab twice a day for longer period?

Thanks for the query

Aceforce MR contains aceclofenac which is NSAID group of painkillers known to cause damage to the kidneys. I strongly advice you not to take it on a daily basis. You could take a safer drug like Tramadol or just plain paracetomol for the pain. Also stretching exercises before going for your jogs helps in reducing the pain.

Hello,
Although back pain at your age could be because of osteoarthritis and osteoporosis but you should be properly assessed by investigations like X-ray and MRI SPINE and clinical examination by an orthopedic,since sometimes malignancy in spine may be the reason for persistent back ache.
