Are These Medicines Recommended For A Small Kid?

Hi,

My daughter had severe cold and cough along with fever for the last few days. Took her to doctor and he prescribed bactolav dry syrup along with piriton and paracetamol P-250. After administering the medicine for a day, she has recovered well and cold and cough is very less. Fever has come down too. But she has developed loose motion and she is not passing urine as well for very long time. Is it because of the medicine or do we need to do some additional checkups as well. Also, are these recommended for a 1.5 year old kid ?

Hai.. Bactoclav can cause diarrhea. You didn't mention the duration if illness. Many if childhood illnesses could be viral. Diarrhea is worrisome as urine output is kiw. You can use probiotics which specifically contains saccharomyces boulaardii as its looking like antibiotic associated diarrhea. Kindly approach your pediatrician. Bactoclav can used in kids depending on circumstance if it's really warranted. .Happy to help anytime. If you are happy with my reply, kindly rate it.
