The commonest cause of tinnitus in your case looks to be the excessive firing which causes a noise injury to the internal and middle ear. - This noise trauma causes almost permanent damage to the hair-cells in the cochlea and thus you have a feeling of noise coming on its own in the affected ear. - Hence it is imperative to get a proper clinical evaluation. - Audiometry to know the extent of damage. - MRI of mastoid. - General check up for hypertension as this can be a possible cause wherein a vascular loop around the ear nerve can cause tinnitus and control of high blood pressure can help you a lot. - All these things done under the guidance of an ENT Surgeon is a must particularly if you are in service to get a prescription based medicines as Sturgeon is a prescription based medicine.
