Are Itchy Feeling In Arms And Blurry Vision Side Effects Of Methylprednisolone?

Have been taking a methylprednisolone 4 mg dosepak for joint pains. Started the meds on Tuesday. Have been having very hot, itchy feeling on my upper backside of my arms, Was wondering if this could be side effect or reaction. Also everything seems a bit more blurry since taking the medication too.

Hi,

Methylprednisolone is a corticosteroid hormone which is used to treat conditions such as arthritis, blood disorders, severe allergic reactions, certain cancers, eye conditions, lung diseases, skin and soft tissue disorders, kidney disorders, immune system disorders etc. It decreases your immune system's response to various diseases to reduce symptoms like swelling, pain and allergic type reactions. Side effects of Methylprednisolone are nausea, vomiting, weight gain, headache, confusion, excitement, restlessness, thin skin, increased thirst, muscle weakness, depression, infection, symptoms of allergic reactions like itching, rashes, redness, swelling of lips, tongue or throat, breathing difficulties, dizziness etc.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
