Are Libotryp And Solopose Effective For Acute Vertigo?

Hi,I had a bout of acute vertigo- dizziness and nausea. I have been advised to take libotryp and Solopose twice a day - once in the afternoon and at night for 15 days followed by 5 intravenous injections for 5 consecutive days. Is this the correct line of treatment and do these medicines have side effects?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Every medication has potential side effects that may or may not occur. The effects of most medications do not occur in the majority of persons.

In most persons, vertigo is related to the inner ear, though there are other causes as well.
The inner ear causes are meniere's disease, vestibular neurontis, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).
Medications are not used for a long period of time with BPPV and vestibular neurontis.

Solopose contains a benzodiazepine and libotryp contains another benzodizepine along with another medication.
Benzodiazepines are sometimes used in the short term to help with symptoms. Using 2 of them would be associated with increased side effects however.

It may be best to use only one agent.

I hope this helps
