What Causes Dizziness After A Head Injury?

I got hit in the back of the head by a person (not purposely) and the next day had an overwhelming dizzy spell. I sought med attn and had a CT scan which showed nothing. I was diagnosed with acute vertigo. Can vertigo happen just on occasion due to a blow?

Question : Can vertigo happen just on occasion due to a blow?
Answer : Vertigo can happen after head injury, if the injury has disturbed the semicircular canals of the ears. This may not be seen in CT Brain. And Direct Blow is not needed. The semicircular canals can be disturbed even due to inertia

Solution : In most cases, this will resolve in 6 weeks to 6 months
