Apices Are Clear Is Shown In Apicolordotic Result. Took Amoclav Before Doing The Apicolordotic View. What Does It Mean?

hi good day doc. i just have my apicolordotic result and it says the apices are clear? the why i have the lordotic view is that at my normal PA result i have inflammatory infiltrates in my left base lung. That this mean I am okay now? Ive taken Amoclav for 1 week 3 times daily before doing the apicolordotic view. thanks and GOD BLESS..

Thanks for writing to HCM

Apicolordotic view is used in radiography to see clearly the parenchyma of apex of lungs.
Apex portion of lungs is overshadowed by bony ribs and clavicle so it hinders the apical portion findings.
If radiologists suspect any doubtful lesion in apex portion then apicolordotic view is taken for confirmation.
You had inflammatory infiltrates in left lung base and you have taken antibiotics,so it is alright.
