Ankle Sore And Swollen, Feels Like Bruising. Don't Bump Anywhere. Crohn's Patient Having Purinethol. Side Effect?

I woke up 3 days ago with a sore ankle i dont recall bumping anywhere nor recall a "sprang" , it's still quite sore and swollen and feels like bruising some what pale red coloring.. I'm crohns disease patient.. And recently got prescribe purinethol.. Wondering if it could have something to do with the illness or medication. Thanks

Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Purinethol is an anti neoplastic agent ( uses in cancer patients).
The side effects are many but I am mentioning only few of them for your knowledge.
Bone marrow toxicity,
hepatotoxic
immunosuppressant,
Swellimg over the feet and lower legs ( as in your case),
Weakness , fatigue,
yellow eyes and skin.
G I upset( as nausea , vomiting, diarrhea).
Bruising skin.
In my opinion all these symptoms mentioned by you in your query are due to the side effect of purinethol.
Consult your treating doctor and get his opinion regarding this.
