Am I Having Any Problem With The Inserted Copper T?

Hi,last month i under went copper t insertion, on 25th aug i had bleeding very lightly not even as regular bleeding..till 7 days..later there was spotting..i took antibiotics and clingen..pills again 15 days it started bleeding lightly...is there any problem with copper t

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Slight bleeding is commonly seen after copper-T insertion and it will resolve spontaneously in couple of weeks. If you experience persistent bleeding associated with pain, you have to take an ultrasound to rule out collection or dislodgement and in that case the device has to be removed. Consult a gynecologist in case of persistent bleeding.
