8 Year Old Having Sores In Nostril, Back And Head. What Could This Be?

my 8 yr old has cold sore looking sores in both nostrils, but he also has a huge sore on the back of his neck at hairline and 3 spots on his head. The ones in his hair appear to be drying up now. His nose & back of neck look better, but still pretty big. What could this be?

This could be impetigo. Which is caused by bacteria called staphylococcus. Sometimes this bacteria can release some chemical in the blood (toxins) which can produce skin blisters even after you have treated the infection. As your son's sores have dried up you don't have to worry. You can try using Bactroban ointment if the sore looks red and weepy
