8 Year Old, Asthma, Pneumonia. Prescribed Prednisone, Nebulizer, Cefuroxime. Is This Safe?
hi, my 8-year old son is asthmatic and was diagnosed by his doctor to have pneumonia and a component of asthma. His doctor prescribed him ventolin nebulizer, prednisone 20/5, cefuroxime and nasatapp. As a mom, I am a bit hesitant to give it all to him..do you think it is safe for an 8 year old boy to take all those meds?

i just want to clear one thing.its very understandable that you are worried about your child but what is important here is that for a particular disease a particular medciine is rrequired.like in this case fro respiratory infection he has prescribed an antibiotic.and also he has prescribed other medicines as well to control asthma.

these medicines are needed to cure the disease from which your son is currently suffering.each and every thing in this world has a side effect but as compared to the effect which the disease is causing on the lungs of your son these medicines are absolutely fine.dont hesitate and maintain the compliance.give these drugs to your child for the days and as the way prescribed and he will be fine.
