77 Years. Loud Pop While Removing Ear Plug, Followed By Inability To Hear Properly. On Hearing Aides. Suggest

my mom sleeps with ear plugs in and upon wakeing she removed one ear plug to a loud pop and hasn't been able to hear properly since.Been to Dr. no ear wax build up.Its been about a week and a half with no improvement.She is 77 and wears hearing aides.What can we do?

this can be noise trauma or minears disease in which there is sudden decrease in hearing
need to go for audiogram to find out the cause and if found can treat it accordingly
if hearing does not improve may need strong hearing aids then the present one
