7 Week Kid, Frequent Crying, Passing Stool Every 2 Days. Taking Medication. What Could Be This?
Hello Doctor, My son is 7 weeks old and he cry for most of the time he is awake. He also cry 5-10 mins. before passing urine and for last 1 week he is passing stool only after every 2 days. Presently we are giving him 1) Colimax on SOS basis, 2) Carmicide 4 drops 3 times a day 3) Cyclopam (Local pediatrician has now suggested this) 4) We also tried Bonispaz drops for 2 days We have done the blood test and also awaiting results for urine tract infection.
Thank you for suggesting solutions - Best Regards - Rudra Saugat
Hi ,
Thank you for your query.
I understand your concern.
Abdominal colic is common in babies like these.
Colimax drops-10 drops sos should suffice. If the crying does not stop you can use paracetamol drops.
Cyclopam is not recommended under 6 months of age.
Please see the blood and urine tests. Please check the ears by a pediatrician.Ear ache is a common cause for pain.
If you have any further queries you are free to consult me.
Hope this answers your query.
Wishing a speedy recovery.
