4 Year Old Not Able To Bend The Elbow After A Fall. Can I Wait Without Going To Emergency?
Hi - my 4 year old son fell from a zip line about 6 feet off the ground and landed on his elbow . He refuses to bend it. We called our pediatrician and they said that if something was questionable they do not have the equipment in their office to do an x-ray and said to go to the emergency room instead. It seems to me this is not an emergency so I m a little shocked at that suggestion - perhaps it is because it is late in the day? Is it ok to wait until he can be seen by his pediatrician perhaps tomorrow?

Hello, Greetings! you may use rolls of newspaper and crepe bandage to immobile the elbow joint, The position shall be made by slightly flexing the elbow joint ,check if any swelling is appearing, Check if you have pain killer and if your child is not allergic to it then give 1 dose, You may wait until tomorrow for xray and pedia,
