18 weeks pregnancy, Urine analysis report, Normal?
hello dr. i am pregnant in 18 weeks, i made urine analysis from 2 days ago,the results are: - color: yellow -appearnce: cloudy - Sp. Gravity: 1.018 - pH: 6.5 -Epith cells: ++ - Pus cells: 9/h.p.f - erythrocytes: 6/h.p.f - other findings: Bacteria+ , mucus . are this results normal or not good ? & what can i do? Many thanks. first of all you did the urine analysis for some complains.
the finding indicates some abnormal findings like pus cells and erythrocytes in it .
depending on your complains you need further investigations like urine culture/sensitivity/usg of kidney,ureter,bladder to find out the cause of urinary findings like U T I /urinary stone .
take plenty of water and get a check up with your doctor and discuss regarding treatment of the condition .

Hi,
according to your report it is showing that you are having urinary tract infection.
First be sure that, have you collected urine after cleaning the local parts, in a clean container, midstream urine collected or not.
If the collecting procedure was correct then it is certain that you are having urinary tract infection.
You have to go for urine culture now. By doing this the organisms which are causing the infection can be detected and depending on it antibiotics will be prescribed.
Be cautious as UTI in pregnancy can lead to miscarriage. It should be treated early before developing complications like spreading to upper structures, ureters and kidney.
Now consult your gynecologist show your report and get treated for UTI. One ultrasound also needed to to detect any urological problem and condition of the baby.
