Question: my first day of my last menstral cycle was 9/19/19. i had a negative pregnnacy test 10/19/19, i tested two days later and it was postive. My hcg level was 11124 and progesterone 17. the doctor ordered another set of labs. could this mean I ovulated later? they said I was 6 weeks on the 29th. are those lab values normal? they didnt tell me any info

Brief Answer:
The values seem normal and not concerning.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

Progesterone levels are quite normal for a pregnancy of 6 weeks. The BHcg levels are a bit elevated and may show a pregnancy more than 6 weeks.
I can find this values not concerning and I can't find a reason why they ordered to repeat the tests.
The fact that the first test resulted negative means that you did the test too early and the pregnancy wasn't detectable at that time.
The home pregnancy tests are usually used after 5 days of delayed period.

Hope I have answered the question.

Brief Answer:
Ovulation occurred at 5 October most probably.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
The only sure way to determine the paternity of the baby is the DNA test. There is no way to say it for sure which can be the dad without a DNA test.
I don't want to be not professional but taking count the data that you give the ovulation day seems to be 5 October so the one of 5 October seems to be the dad.

Hello,
I just received an ultrasound and im 6 weeks 2 days. im having a very hard time due to the uncertainty of who the father is. I had intercourse sept 30th and october 5th. I usually have a 29-30 day cycle. are there tests in utero to determine or would one be more likely then the other based off those days? please advise
