Question: in XXXXXXX 2017, I had a tubal ligation after I had my son. Since then, I have my period 20 days or so out of the month. It is heavy and painful. I get flu like symptoms when it's at its heaviest. I've lost my desire to have sex with my husband and when we do have sex, I am in pain in my abdominal area for days after. my doctor keeps chalking it up to stress and anxiety but it has almost been two years. I'm tired of bleeding and no sex drive. what can I do?

Thanks for the query.I understand your concern.
After tubal ligation routine bleeding pattern can change to some extent ..but to have a prolonged 20days bleeding in a month,with flue like symptoms at peak ..&pain after sex..... over the period of two years , points to possibility of some other cause like...hormonal imbalance(ovarian or thyroid problem) /uterine problem like fibroid /pelvic inflammation .
*The trouble &stress you are going through causes fatigue,lack of well being & low sex drive
*You would need to get a detailed gynecological check up followed by needful investigations llike USG of pelvis, ,hormonal assay,,thyroid function tests,deep vaginal swab .
* With methodical follow up, you would definitely get rid of the problem Please consult your treating gynecologist for the cause specific treatment & advise.
