Brief Answer:
Better to start treatment for COPD.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I can understand your concern.
COPD (chronic obstructive Pulmonary disease) is progressive disease of airways.
Without treatment, it will surely progress and deteriorate.
We can not cure COPD but with treatment, we can definitely stop progression of it.
So better to follow these treatment steps for improvement.
1. Start inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
2. Enroll yourself in Pulmonary Rehabilitation center where chest physiotherapy and deep breathing exercises are done.
3. Get done adult Pulmonary vaccination with pneumococcal and Influenza vaccines to prevent recurrent respiratory tract infection.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
Don't worry, with treatment, your COPD will not deteriorate.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
