Is There Any Alternative Treatment For Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis To Avoid Oxygen Supplement?

Hi ,
My Father (Age:68 years) has been diagnosed of Idiopathic Pulmonary fibrosis. He has been taking perfinex (250mg) and mucotab plus. Also , he is on supplemental oxygen 24*7. He is been treated at hospital in a small town. Is there any alternative treatment available and if yes May I knw some good hospital in bangalore where it can be treated.

hi as IPF is concerned best treatment option is oxygen. medicines will have some benefit. inspite of this if he breathless he will benefit from pulmonary rehabilitation.it will be provided in some hospitals like St. John's hospitals.final option will be lung transplant .it will be done in some centres in India. one of such centre is frontier life line in chennai where iam working.if any queries you can contact me through mail .my mail I'd is d.kannan25@gmail.com
