Question: is astymin drip necessary for pregnant at 23.3 weeks pregnant

Brief Answer:
No need

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) AFI of 11.7 is normal and you dont need astymin drip.

2) You are right this is amniotic fluid index.

3) If 90 percent of doctor's patients are getting this, it is better you change the doctor.

4) Please see another good doctor for a repeat ultrasound and proper advice.

5) As of now you dont need this treatment.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

ok thanks for the instant reply.
reason i posted the question is she showed us a chart and on that ,afi has to be 14.7 at 24 weeks.
she has been so good so far in continously monitoring the progress by doing scans every month.
Now i am afraid the medications she suggested is good to take or not?
is it good to take the below medicines? or should i discontinue that as well.
ma- dha - DHA tablet
refill-iron
folmet-folic acid
esosteoc- calcium

is it good to change doctor at 24 weeks?
also she is asking to take six egg whites/perday.. is it normal during pregnancy?
i am taking only 1 per day
or shall i just deny the astymin and go ahead with same doctor by following the above medications.

Brief Answer:
continue medicines

Detailed Answer:
Hi

There is no much of difference. Your AFI level is not less than 8 which warrants treatment.

You can continue these medicines. They are good enough.

Six egg whites are more. 2 should be enough.

I think you should change the doctor
