MRI knee necessary for treatment strategy

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Thanks for writing to us your health concerns. We are happy to help you. First of all we are sad to hear that you have been suffering from health issue. I try my best to solve your problems out.

Your knee cap pain may be due to ligament injury or bursitis of the knee. This can be be confirmed if you get MRI knee done. kindly get it done to confirm it. If Anterior or posterior ligament injury is found then you have two options. conservative or surgical management. so we will think of treatment as soon as you get back to us with MRI reports. For now if you have pain you can use any OTC drugs like acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain relief.

Hope this info helps you sort out your problems. Feel free to ask me any questions of your health concern and if you feel my advice helpful kindly give me user thank vote happy health !

Thank you. I have had a history of Osteoarthritis in the Left Knee and had full replacement done in 2016. The right knee feels a bit different than that did. I did suffer injury to the knee cap back when I was younger as I fell on a gym floor and knocked the knee cap off a bit which required me to be in a brace for a month. I'll be seeing my Ortho for follow up on the Left Knee on Thursday, I'll let him check the right knee as well.

MRI knee necessary

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for following me up my advice. If you have osteoarthritis then may be other knee also is developing the same. May me MRI knee would catch hold of early changes and can be treated by conservative management only without surgery. So kindly get MRI knee as soon as possible and also get it examined by your orthopaedician. I hope this info helps you sort out your problems and if you feel its helpful kindly give me user thank vote happy health!

Just to let you know that I found out that I have Osteoarthritis of the Right Knee. I was treated with a Cortisone Injection which has helped me a lot. It also helped my lower back which I also have issues with. The only problem I am having now is with my Neck. I have bulging discs from C4-C7 and am starting to have issues with them again. I had to come off the Diclofenac when I was first given the Cortisone Injection and the Ortho decided I had been on that particular medication way too long. I'm going back to him again for the Neck and see what options he has to offer. Over the counter meds do not help. I tried them before which is why I was on the Diclofenac

Brief Answer:
Cervical disc needs to be fixed

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Hope you are doing well. OK you have neck pain also and disc bulge? Is it confirmed with MRI or ct? If so then kindly get it fixed by orthopaedician or neurosurgeons. Neurosurgeons are expert in doing micro surgery and especially I seen they do well with the cervical discs. They can only manage all your pains including arthritic pain of the knee. Think and go for better options for your pain. If surgery is necessary it's permanent option for you rather meditation. I hope I could give you relevant information about the same. If you have any other doubts feel free to ask. Hit thanks happy health!

My Neurosurgeon had been treating me conservatively since 2005. The only reason I am having issues right now is because I had to be taken off the anti-inflammatory because of the Cortisone Injection. When the Ortho found out how long I had been on this particular med, he advised me not to start taking it again. I'm going to make an appt. with him and see what he can do to help me. At this time in my life, I do not want to have surgery. I have had surgeries the past 2 years-Full Knee Replacement Left Knee and Rotator Cuff Tear Repair. I just recently lost my brother who lived with me and I'm not ready to deal with a surgery at this time. He just died in February and I took care of him for 6 years and I just need to get my bearings back together before undertaking another surgery right now. An MRI has confirmed the bulging disks in my Neck. I have DDD, Spinal Stenosis and Cervical Spondylosis all confirmed by MRI and Xrays. Thanks for your input.
