When Is Intercourse Advisable For Successful Pregnancy During The Menstrual Cycle?

Question: Hello,

so, I had sex this past week as I believe it is the week for my ovulation. I had gotten what I believe to be, a positive on the ovulation predictor kit on Wednesday. Well, the test line was as dark or darker than the control line, at least. I had sex every day this week, except Wednesday, because I had a work related event to attend. I made up for it on Thursday though by doing it 3 times that day.

My question is: What day do you think I ovulated, or are going to ovulate? Today is Friday, and like I said, I think that the test got the darkest on Wednesday. Also, can you still get pregnant with having a sex schedule like the one I had just told you I had for the past week, or does it have to be precisely on the day of ovulation? Because I am having a hard time pinpointing what day that should have been.

Brief Answer:
Bright chances of pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
Yes you have bright chances of conception because positive (darkest) line on ovulation kit on Wednesday means you will ovulate on Thursday and thus since you very well had sex also so chances are bright.
I wish you all the best and would like to help you in case you need any advise in future as I basically practice infertility so will like to solve all your issues and queries anytime on this forum.

thank you so much for your reply! I appreciate the help. I was just wondering if my chances were not good since I was not able to have any sex today due to my work schedule? do you think that denied my ability?

Brief Answer:
Good chances

Detailed Answer:
I understand your anxiety but this is not the issue.
Rather we always advocate alternate day sex during fertile period to enhance the concentration of sperms per wjaculate.
usual time of ovulation is 14-24 hours after LH surge and ovum is active for 24 hours after release from egg.
Sperms are capable of fertilisation for 72 hours post intercourse.
So since everything in your case was perfect you have bright chances of pregnancy.

great thank you so much for your reponse! specifically though, when do you suppose I most likely ovulated -- if I had received the first positive of a darker test line on the ovulation predictor kit this past Wednesday? thanks for your help!

Brief Answer:
Most likely ovulation has occured

Detailed Answer:
Yes dear, if there is LH surge as detected by positive test in kit then ovulation occurs in 90-95% of patients but can only be documented on ultrasound.
Let's hope for the best.
