Brief Answer:
You may resume your physical activity after 2-3 weeks.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HCM.
I appreciate your concern for the recovery period following Cortisone injection.

Well as a matter of fact no running or weight-bearing sports are allowed for 2-3 weeks after a cortisone shot is given.

Hope this answers your query.

Wishing you a very good health.

Brief Answer:
You may start the stretching exercise.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir, Hi

Thanks for your reply and your comments.

You may please start using a suitable orthotics and the stretching exercises.

The following exercises are found to be useful and to perform them accurately I would advise you to take help from a physiotherapist:

1. With the feet flat on the floor, press the toes downwards into the floor.
Do not allow them to curl, or the ankle to move whilst performing the exercise.
Hold for the count of 3, repeat 10 times.
Perform this exercise 3 times a day if possible.

2. Place the back half of a foot on a suitable book, and the forefoot on a set of weighing scales, ensuring the foot is horizontal as far as possible.

3. Spread the toes as far as they will go and then return them together
4. Toe lifting : Place feet flat on the floor and try to lift each toe up in turn.
5. Forefoot press: Place the back half of a foot on a suitable book, and the forefoot on a set of weighing scales, ensuring the foot is horizontal as far as possible

Hope the suggestions given above could be of great help to you in getting the relief from the symptoms.

Have a good day.
